Focusing primarily on Treaty Reinsurance, Mr. Pomeroy has underwriting experience across all lines of casualty business, including general liability, auto, PI/E&O/D&O and medical malpractice.
Prior to joining ASRE, Mr. Pomeroy was responsible for the placement and handling of a portfolio of U.S. and international casualty treaty reinsurance accounts as an AVP for an independent intermediary in the Bermuda market. Moving into Reinsurance in early 2001, he was based in London and worked as a deputy casualty underwriter for Platinum Re, underwriting a diverse book of international casualty treaty reinsurance business.
Mr. Pomeroy originally started his career as a personal lines broker for an independent U.K. insurance intermediary and moved into casualty underwriting with a London-based insurer.
Mr. Pomeroy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southampton and holds the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation and is pursuing the Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
